If you're currently serving, or previously served in the military, here is a scholarship opportunity to assist in funding your higher education.
The MSG Jimmie Quintero Endowment is an annual, generous donation from U.S. Army Master Sergeant (retired) Jimmie Quintero and his wife, Shin, in the amount of $1,000. This donation will be supporting the HOFV Inc. Higher Education Scholarship Program.
The 2024-2025 Scholarship Applications will not be accepted until February 1, 2024, and closes April 30, 2024. However, feel free to preview the application to become familiar with it and what will be expected from you. Awardees will be contacted by phone or email.
The Hazlewood Act is a State of Texas benefit that provides qualified Veterans, spouses, and dependent children with an education benefit of up to 150 hours of tuition exemption, including most fee charges, at public institutions of higher education in Texas. However, this does NOT include living expenses, books, or supply fees. This is why the HOFV mission is very important. We strive to raise funds to help Veterans cover these additional costs that are not covered.
